Headache & Migraine
Headache disorders, characterized by recurrent headaches, are among the most common disorders of the nervous system. A headache is a painful and disabling feature of primary headache disorders, particularly migraine.
Migraine is three times more common in women than men, affecting one in four women at some point in life. Migraine and headache disorders disproportionately affect women during their childbearing and working years, creating a wide range of impacts on health, family life and economic stability.
Through this focus area, PWW will collaborate with clinical experts and patient advocates to raise awareness of migraine and headache disorders, highlight the unmet needs women face across life stages and advance comprehensive approaches to prevention and treatment in national settings.
